Who we are

Silence Between Sirens CIC is the data controller for the information described here. Company number 17272483, registered office Unit 16, Chivenor Business Park, Barnstaple, EX31 4AY. Email info@silencebetweensirens.com.

What this site does not do

It sets no cookies. It runs no analytics and no tracking. It does not profile you, advertise to you, or share anything about you with advertisers. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a third party, so loading a page tells nobody anything about you.

What we collect, and when

• If you buy something. Your name, delivery address, email address and what you ordered. This is collected by Stripe at checkout and passed to us so that we can send the parcel and answer questions about it.
• If you donate. Your name, email address and the amount, through Stripe.
• If you use the contact form. Your name, email address, what your message is about, your service or organisation if you give it, and your message.
• Nothing else. There is no account to create and no password to keep.

Why we are allowed to hold it

• To fulfil an order, because we need it to perform the contract with you.
• To reply to a message you send us, because you asked us to and ticked the box to say so.
• To keep the records the law requires us to keep.

Who else handles it

• Stripe, which takes payments and holds the order details. Stripe is the payment processor; we never see your card number.
• Web3Forms, which delivers the contact form to our inbox.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the site and sees the ordinary technical details of a web request, including your IP address, in order to serve the page.
• Our email provider, which carries our correspondence with you.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

• Order and donation records: six years, because accounting records have to be kept.
• Messages through the contact form: twelve months, then deleted, unless the conversation has become something ongoing.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email info@silencebetweensirens.com and we will answer within a month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

The shop is not aimed at under-18s.

Changes

If this changes, the new version goes on this page with the date it changed.
