Built by people who have been there

Everyone building Silence Between Sirens has been where this cause is trying to reach.
Between us, we have served, and we have struggled. We are not studying this problem from the outside. We have lived inside it - the silence, the “I’m fine” that was not true, the distance between how it looked and how it felt.
That matters, because it changes what we build. It is easy to design support that makes sense on paper and is useless at 3am after a job you cannot put down. Lived experience is the check on that. It keeps us honest about what actually helps, and what only looks like help.
It also means we understand why people do not reach out. Not because support does not exist, but because reaching for it can feel harder than carrying on. The culture, the fear of what it says about you, the worry it goes on a record somewhere. We have felt all of it.
We are not here as experts looking in. We are here as people who know the ground, building the thing we needed and could not find.
